European Union Home Affairs Funds

Funded by the European Union. In the programming period 2021–2027, the European Union's Home Affairs Funds (EUSA Funds) comprise three funds:

  • Asylum, Immigration and Integration Fund (AMIF)
  • Internal Security Fund (ISF)
  • Border Management and Visa Instrument (BMVI)

EUSA funds promote effective management of immigration matters and a high level of security in the EU, and support integrated border security and the common visa policy.

In the programming period 2021–2027, the total funding Finland will receive from the EUSA funds will be approximately EUR 183 million.

In Finland, the authority managing the funds is the Ministry of the Interior, which is responsible for the implementation of the funds and for the monitoring and control of projects supported from the fund.
