  3. Permit procedures for shooting ranges to be streamlined – Legislative proposal opens for public consultation - Ministry of the Interior

    11.11.2025 | The Ministry of the Interior invites comments on proposed amendments to the Act on Shooting Ranges and the Environmental Protection Act.   5. Stricter conditions for permanent residence permits as of 8 January - Ministry of the Interior

    22.12.2025 | The conditions for obtaining a permanent residence permit will be tightened. For example, the continuous period of residence required for the permit will be extended. Applicants will also be required to demonstrate higher integrity, proficiency in Finnish or Swedish and have a work history of a certain length. The President of the Republic approved the relevant amendments to the Aliens Act on 22 December. The amendments will enter into force on 8 January 2026.

    10.6.2026 | The Ministry of the Interior has sent out for comments four draft decrees to be issued under the Gambling Act. A draft government decree covers the operation of gambling by the holder of an exclusive licence. The draft decrees of the Ministry of the Interior concern the rules of play for gambling operated by the exclusive licence holder, the operation of gambling by gambling licence holders in the competitive market, and the start of the period for claiming winnings.

  7. Rahapelitoiminnan lupamaksut lisätään poliisin maksuasetukseen - Sisäministeriö

    26.1.2026 | Sisäministeriö on täydentänyt poliisin vuoden 2026 maksuasetusta uuden rahapelilain mukaisilla rahapelitoimintaan liittyvillä lupamaksuilla. Uudet maksut ovat yksinoikeustoimilupa, rahapelitoimilupa ja yksinoikeustoimiluvan tai rahapelitoimiluvan haltijan kansainvälinen yhteistyölupa sekä yksinoikeustoimiluvan ja rahapelitoimiluvan muutokset. Maksuasetuksen muutos tulee voimaan 1.3.2026 ja se on voimassa 31.12.2026 asti.

  8. Licensavgifterna för penningspelsverksamheten fogas till polisens avgiftsförordning - Inrikesministeriet

    26.1.2026 | Inrikesministeriet har kompletterat förordningen om polisens avgiftsbelagda prestationer och avgiftsbelagda handräckning 2026 med licensavgifter för penningspelsverksamheten i enlighet med den nya penningspelslagen. De nya avgifterna är ensamrättslicens, penningspelslicens och tillstånd för internationellt samarbete för innehavare av ensamrättslicens eller penningspelslicens samt ändring av ensamrättslicens och ändring av penningspelslicens.
