    6.3.2025 | Villkoren för familjeåterförening skärps. Målet är att i enlighet med regeringsprogrammet ta i bruk de tilläggsvillkor i fråga om makarnas minimiålder, försörjningsförutsättningen och boendetiden som familjeåterföreningsdirektivet möjliggör. Regeringen lämnade en proposition om detta till riksdagen den 6 mars.

  3. Legislative amendments improving efficiency of asylum system to enter into force on 1 June - Ministry of the Interior

    22.5.2025 | The efficiency of examining asylum applications will be improved. At the same time, restrictions will be placed on the ability of beneficiaries of international protection to visit the countries from which they have fled. The enforcement of deportation decisions will also be streamlined. The Government submitted the new amendments to the Aliens Act for approval on 22 May. The President of the Republic is scheduled to approve the amendments on 23 May, and they will enter into force on 1 June.

    29.8.2024 | Valtioneuvosto päätti yleisistunnossaan 29.8.2024 esittää, että tasavallan presidentti nimittäisi kontra-amiraali Markku Hassisen Rajavartiolaitoksen päällikön virkaan 1.1.2025. Nimitys on määräaikainen 30.11.2029 asti.

  5. Ändringar i Gränsbevakningsväsendets ledning 1.1.2025 - Inrikesministeriet

    29.8.2024 | Statsrådet har i sitt allmänna sammanträde den 29 augusti 2024 beslutat föreslå att republikens president utnämner konteramiral Markku Hassinen till tjänsten som chef för Gränsbevakningsväsendet fr.o.m. den 1 januari 2025. Utnämningen är för viss tid och gäller till den 30 november 2029.

  6. EU to roll out common Entry/Exit System progressively - Ministry of the Interior

    13.2.2025 | The EU will not ask the Member States to immediately start full operation of the Entry/Exit System (EES). The Commission has drafted a proposal for a regulation that would allow for a progressive start of the system that has been in preparation for a long time. The Government informed Parliament of the Commission's proposal by submitting a Union communication on 13 February.

    19.12.2024 | Valtioneuvosto esittää, että tasavallan presidentti vahvistaa lain EU-jäsenmaiden lainvalvontaviranomaisten välisestä tietojenvaihdosta ja eräitä siihen liittyviä lakeja sekä määrää lait tulemaan voimaan 20.12.2024. Laki tehostaa EU-maiden tietojenvaihtoa rikollisuuden torjunnassa.
