13.1.2022 | Gränskontrollen vid de inre gränserna fortsätter och inreserestriktionerna förblir också i övrigt i huvudsak oförändrade fram till den 31 januari. Det införs dock vissa lättnader i begränsningarna i fråga om de personer som av medicinskt grundad anledning inte kan ta vaccin mot covid-19. Statsrådet fattade beslut om ändringarna vid sitt sammanträde den 13 januari och ändringarna träder i kraft den 17 januari 2022.

7.4.2022 | Coronapandemin pågår fortfarande. För att trygga hälso- och sjukvårdens bärkraft förlängs inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna med en månad, till den 8 maj. Statsrådet fattade beslut om att fortsätta restriktionerna vid sitt sammanträde den 7 april, och restriktionerna träder i kraft den 11 april. 

5.5.2022 | Coronapandemin pågår fortfarande. För att trygga hälso- och sjukvårdens bärkraft fortsätter inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna till den 5 juni. Statsrådet beslutade vid sitt sammanträde den 5 maj att de gällande begränsningarna förlängs.

15.12.2021 | Avsikten är att statsrådet beslutar om nya inreserestriktioner torsdagen den 16 december. Hälsosäkerhetsåtgärderna skärps och de gällande begränsningarna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fortsätter fram till den 16 januari 2022. 

7.10.2021 | Inreserestriktionerna avvecklas i trafiken från Kuwait till Finland i fråga om invånare i Kuwait. Statsrådet fattade beslut i ärendet den 7 oktober och beslutet träder i kraft den 11 oktober. Det görs inga andra ändringar i restriktionerna. De gällande inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fortsätter fram till den 24 oktober. 25.11.2021 | Begränsningarna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fortsätter. Coronapandemin pågår fortfarande. Trots ökad vaccinationstäckning finns det alltjämt en risk för att hälso- och sjukvårdens bärkraft överskrids. Därför förlängs giltighetstiden för det beslut som fattades den 4 november fram till den 19 december. 28.12.2021 | Den inre gränskontrollen återinförs vid Finlands gränser tisdagen den 28 december. Det görs också andra ändringar i inreserestriktionerna, och från och med den 28 december gäller samma restriktioner för alla som anländer till Finland från utlandet. Statsrådet fattade i dag beslut om nya restriktioner. Beslutet träder i kraft den 28 december kl. 15 och gäller till och med den 16 januari. 

7.1.2022 | Vid sitt första möte fredagen den 7 januari fick ministerarbetsgruppen för samordning av coronaåtgärder en översikt över smittläget, omikronvariantens spridning, belastningen på hälso- och sjukvården och hälso- och sjukvårdens bärkraft. Ministerarbetsgruppen fick också en översikt över hur vaccinationerna framskrider.

16.12.2021 | De i Finland gällande inreserestriktionerna vid de yttre gränserna fortsätter och hälsosäkerhetsåtgärderna skärps. Statsrådets beslut av den 16 december träder i kraft den 20 december och gäller fram till den 16 januari 2022. Enligt beslutet ska det av resenärer som kommer från länder utanför EU och Schengenområdet och som fått en full vaccinationsserie från och med den 21 december krävas både ett vaccinationsintyg och ett negativt covid-19-test som är under 48 timmar gammalt.

4.11.2021 | Begränsningarna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fortsätter. 16.9.2021 | Inreserestriktionerna återinförs i trafiken från Singapore till Finland i fråga om invånare i Singapore. Statsrådet fattade beslut i ärendet den 16 september och beslutet träder i kraft den 20 september. Det görs inga andra ändringar i restriktionerna. De gällande inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fortsätter fram till den 10 oktober. 10.2.2022 | Coronapandemin pågår fortfarande. För att trygga hälso- och sjukvårdens bärkraft fortsätter inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna till den 13.3. Det införs dock vissa lättnader i restriktionerna. Statsrådet fattade beslut om ändringarna vid sitt sammanträde den 10.2., och ändringarna träder i kraft den 15.2. 

14.10.2021 | Inreserestriktionerna slopas för invånare i länderna och områdena på EU:s gröna lista. Dessutom öppnas Vainikkala gränsövergångsställe för persontrafik. Statsrådet fattade beslut i ärendet den 14 oktober och besluten träder i kraft den 18 oktober. De övriga inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fortsätter fram till den 7 november. 28.11.2021 | Från och med söndagen den 28 november kl. 15 begränsar Finland inresa vid sina yttre gränser för de resenärer som under de senaste 14 dygnen har vistats i Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Moçambique, Namibia, Sydafrika eller Zimbabwe. Statsrådet fattade beslut om ärendet den 28 november.

27.1.2022 | Gränskontrollen vid de inre gränserna, som återinfördes i trafiken mellan Finland och alla Schengenländer i slutet av december, upphör den 31 januari. Däremot fortsätter begränsningarna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna fram till den 14 februari. Statsrådet beslutade om begränsningarna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna vid sitt sammanträde den 27 januari. Beslutet träder i kraft den 1 februari 2022.

2.9.2021 | Det kommer att göras ett par ändringar i inreserestriktionerna i trafiken över de yttre gränserna på basis av incidenstal. 21.12.2021 | Tisdagen den 21 december förhandlade regeringen om coronaläget och fastställde nya restriktioner och andra behövliga åtgärder. Utöver en högre vaccinationstäckning behövs det både nationella och regionala åtgärder som effektivt begränsar närkontakter i syfte att bromsa epidemins spridning. Detta ska ge mera tid att komplettera vaccinationerna med den tredje vaccindosen.

In addition to increasing vaccination coverage, effective national and regional measures to limit close contacts are needed to slow down the spread of the epidemic. 28.11.2021 | As of 15.00 on Sunday 28 November, Finland will restrict entry into the country at its external borders for travellers who have been in Botswana, Eswatini, South Africa, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia or Zimbabwe during the 14 days prior to their arrival in Finland. The Government adopted a decision on the matter on 28 November.

8.7.2021 | The Government has decided to continue internal border control until 25 July to ensure the introduction of health security measures at borders. After this short transitional period, internal border control and entry restrictions at internal borders will be lifted. Internal border traffic refers to traffic between Finland and other Schengen countries. Changes will be made to external border control as well.

15.7.2021 | In line with the Government decision of 15 July, the restrictions on the opening hours of border crossing points at the Finnish-Norwegian border will be lifted on 19 July.
