Amending the regulation of the exchange of information by the police Comments 4 July - 17 August 2025. Government proposal in autumn 2025. Remove obstacles to the exchange of information in the combating of crime.
National implementation of the EU Information Exchange Directive The act entered into force on 20 December 2024 Improve the exchange of information between EU Member States for the purpose of combating crime.
Use of biometric data in the combating of crime Comments 30 January - 17 March 2025. Government proposal in autumn 2025 Assess and improve the use of biometric data with the aim of stepping up the combating of crime.
Action plan for the prevention of violent radicalisation and extremism Action plan was completed in June 2024, monitoring throughout the government term Set out the key measures to be taken in Finland to prevent violent radicalisation and extremism.
Legislative project on the reform of the gambling system Government proposal was submitted to the Parliament on 20 March 2025. Introduce a licence system for gambling in accordance with the Government Programme.
Safeguarding the activities of shooting ranges The project will run from 1 June 2024 to 30 September 2025. Safeguard the activities of existing shooting ranges and promote the establishment of new shooting ranges.
Legislative project on police reserve The project will run from 1 May 2025 to 31 January 2026. The project will prepare legislative amendments concerning police reserve.
Legislation on the fight against organised crime The project will run from 28 March 2025 to 31 August 2026. The fight against organised crime will be intensified through new legislation.
