The maximum parking penalty charge notice is EUR 60. However, if different areas in a municipality have different parking fees, the maximum parking fine is EUR 80 in the areas where the parking fee is the highest.
The proposal to raise the parking fine is usually made by the municipality. The police department may also propose an increase in the fine. Before issuing a decree, the Ministry of the Interior requests a statement from the police department on the proposals.
