Call for applications for funding of EUR 9.3 million for resettlement
An application round for additional funding from the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) to be distributed for resettlement was launched on 5 March 2018. The European Commission grants additional funding for resettlement to Member States based on the number of quota refugees resettled by the Member State concerned.
During this application round, a total of about EUR 9.3 million will be distributed from three national objectives set in the implementation programme of the Fund. In accordance with the national implementation programme, actions to be funded must be connected to ensuring continuity and effectiveness of Finland's resettlement programme, and to ensuring effective placement of quota refugees in municipalities.
About EUR 3.3 million of the funding to be distributed may be granted to projects or actions that relate to national objective 5.1 (support for improving the processes of authorities) and national objective 5.2 (further development of training for refugees which promotes their reception) that are set in the national implementation programme.
EUR 6 million may be granted to projects or actions that implement national objective 6.1 (effective placement of refugees in municipalities).
The deadline for applications is 29 March 2018 at 16.15.
