Projektets syfte och uppgift är att utarbeta en regeringsproposition om att lägga till möjligheten att göra förfrågningar om kontotransaktioner i systemet för övervakning av bank- och betalkonton. Avsikten är att regeringens proposition kan lämnas till riksdagen under vårsessionen 2025.

14.8.2025 | Public authorities in Finland will have to use the Bank and Payment Account Monitoring System each time they request information on account balances, transactions and securities. The Government submitted the legislative amendments for approval on 14 August. The President of the Republic is expected to approve the amendments on 15 August, and they will enter into force on 1 December 2025.

11.2.2022 | Den 10 februari 2022 inledde inrikesministeriet en förstudie om myndigheternas tillgång till uppgifter om kontotransaktioner. Många myndigheter får redan nu uppgifter om kontotransaktioner från bankerna på begäran, men det saknas bestämmelser om elektronisk behandling och förmedling av uppgifterna. Frågan hänför sig till införlivandet av bestämmelserna i direktivet om finansiell information i den nationella lagstiftningen. En regeringsproposition om detta behandlas som bäst i riksdagen.

16.6.2023 | I en förstudierapport granskas huruvida man kan införa möjligheten att göra förfrågningar om uppgifter om kontotransaktioner i övervakningssystemet för bank- och betalkonton. Arbetsgruppen föreslår att informationssystemet utvecklas så att myndigheterna centraliserat kan begära uppgifter om kontotransaktioner via systemet.
