Projektets syfte och uppgift är att utarbeta en regeringsproposition om att lägga till möjligheten att göra förfrågningar om kontotransaktioner i systemet för övervakning av bank- och betalkonton. Avsikten är att regeringens proposition kan lämnas till riksdagen under vårsessionen 2025.

26.4.2026 | On 26 April 2026, Minister of Climate and the Environment Sari Multala visited Ukraine to attend memorials commemorating the Chornobyl nuclear power plant accident 40 years ago and to participate in a high-level meeting on improving the plant safety. 14.8.2025 | Public authorities in Finland will have to use the Bank and Payment Account Monitoring System each time they request information on account balances, transactions and securities. The Government submitted the legislative amendments for approval on 14 August. The President of the Republic is expected to approve the amendments on 15 August, and they will enter into force on 1 December 2025.

The meeting agenda will include the European grids package for 2028–2034, the action plan for affordable energy, and energy security. 14.8.2025 | Myndigheternas förfrågningar om kontotransaktions- och saldouppgifter och uppgifter om värdepapper centraliseras till övervakningssystemet för bank- och betalkonton. Regeringen föreslog den 14 augusti att de lagändringar som gäller bankförfrågningar ska stadfästas. Avsikten är att republikens president ska stadfästa ändringarna den 15 augusti och att de ska träda i kraft den 1 december 2025.

16.6.2023 | I en förstudierapport granskas huruvida man kan införa möjligheten att göra förfrågningar om uppgifter om kontotransaktioner i övervakningssystemet för bank- och betalkonton. Arbetsgruppen föreslår att informationssystemet utvecklas så att myndigheterna centraliserat kan begära uppgifter om kontotransaktioner via systemet.
